We got together with Filth Mart and made an extremely small number of super high quality silkscreened shirts. Printing was done with water-based inks using Filth Mart's press in the back of their shop on Fairfax.

Blanks by Filth Mart. Made in downtown LA.

- Blindstitch on sleeves and hems
- Set on rib collar
- Slightly heavier cotton that has been washed for vintage look and feel
- Shorter body and sleeves like vintage shirts from '50s to early '70s

The Punks Git Cut zine anthology gathers all of artist Jay Howell’s highly sought-after mini comics, zines, rare one-offs, and select paintings into one glorious 420-page collection. Howell’s decidedly west coast aesthetic celebrating life-affirming subjects like skateboarding, buddies, sex, dogs, and parties will convert even the most resolute misanthropes. Luke Pelletier Art Show & Book Release

Luke Pelletier is a recent Los Angeles transplant from North Carolina. Living in a tourist town for much of his life, he has been heavily influenced by sharply dressed alligators, assorted loud mouthed birds, and the occasional skeleton bartender. For Luke, tourist culture is less about neon colored t-shirts with snappy sayings and more about jaguars and flamingos wearing sunglasses and eating watermelon.

Join us Friday September 4th as we welcome Luke to town. In return for your hospitality, you will be rewarded with the release of Luke's amazing book, LIZARD TAIL, as well as an eye melting exhibit of drawings and paintings. Wuvable Oaf Release Party

The extremely wuvable Ed Luce will be at SHQ on Friday, May 22nd to celebrate the release of his big, beautiful Wuvable Oaf collection! We will have posters to give away, signed SHQ exclusive bookplates, and more. Will there be kitties? Maybe. Probably not, but maybe.

"Like Sex and the City but with adorable, ex-wrestler hairy gay men (or bears), Wuvable Oaf is Luce’s debut graphic novel. This book fills a romance comics hole by portraying a likeable gay male character that is both fully realized and relatable. Mostly playful, but sometimes serious, Wuvable Oaf captures the levity of loneliness. Luce delivers a rom-com that would leave Zack Galifianakis and Zooey Deschanel feuding over who got to play Oaf in a hypothetical movie adaptation.
Ed Luce (pronounced “loose,” like the opposite of tight) has made a huge splash in the comics scene with his self-published comic book series. Since 2008 he’s been traveling to conventions and comics festivals all over the U.S. Wuvable Oaf has garnered a huge following of fans both in the comics world and in the queer art world.
